The Victorian schoolroom comes to Year 6
History comes alive for Mount Pellon children, with visits to museums, castles, Viking settlements and special re-enactment days in school.
The photo below shows what happened when a Victorian schoolteacher (in costume) visited to give the class a taste of what life was like in Victorian Britain.
There was an opportunity for the children to dress in Victorian costume and experience life as a schoolchild living over a hundred years ago.
Not only did the children write using dip pens and ink, they had playtime using real and reproduction Victorian toys and games, as well as having a taste of Victorian school rules!
