1 Sep 2007 - Fruit for Schools
Our younger children (Nursery to Year 2) receive daily Free Fruit for Schools. This is a government scheme, whereby younger pupils in all state schools receive a free piece of fruit every school day.
Our older children also receive a piece of fruit, paid for from school funds, as we feel that this is an essential addition to our drive towards healthy eating in school.
Mrs Amos coordinates this scheme, with the assistance of our classroom support staff.
Nursery parents should continue to bring in their 50p apple money as before, as this will be used for baking ingredients and small treats for the Nursery children.
